Mastercraft Collection: Mig-15 Fagot..
Wingspan: 12.8 inches
Length: 12.28 inches
The MiG-15 was the Soviet Union’s first authentic turbojet-powered fighter designed aircraft and its first swept-wing aircraft as well. The UN named the aircraft “Fagot” and described it as a “hastily bundled pile of sticks.” It has paved the way for the development of the more advanced MiG-17, which was destined to fight American troops over Vietnam during the 1960s. With more than 12,000 models built, the MiG-15 was said to have been one of those jet aircrafts that have been made in a very huge number. Licensed foreign production of the jet fighter aircraft even raised the total number to more than 18,000. The name MiG 15 often goes with the F-86 Sabre when thinking about the best fighter aircrafts during the Korean War.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
