Dassault Dornier Alpha Jet
Wingspan: 8.3 inches
Length: 12 inches
The Alpha Jet Dassault Dornier was designed in the late 1960s to meet the requirement made by the Franco-German partnership for a light attack aircraft and a jet trainer. The development had been seriously delayed due to the creation of production programs in the multinational level for both the aircraft and the two power plants. While itŐs true that the prototype started flying on October 26, 1973, it did not enter the service until the following six years. The Dornier Jet, a twin seat subsonic fighter-bomber, has a unique design concept and versatile character that made it suitable to perform various roles such as providing support to air offensive operations as well as surface forces operations. Moreover, it provided support for operational conversion training and advance training on bomber aircrafts while taking advantage of its capacity to use different weapon configurations.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
