The Tigercat F7F was an aircraft-based, fighter aircraft designed by Grumman in 1940Ős for the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. Although it was conceived and produced during the World War II, the Tigercat F7F didnŐt see any action until the beginning of Korean War. This Grumman aircraft was a first for the US Navy to have a twin-engine fighter aircraft. The Tigercat F7F was powered by twin piston-based engines and manned by 2 crews. It was also equipped with radar and assortment of ammunition. Tigercat F7F was an excellent fighter aircraft outperforming many piston-engine fighters, it was considered to be one of the best.
