Mastercraft Collection: P-40B Warhawk..
Wingspan: 12 inches
Length: 10.2 inches
The Curtis P-40 Warhawk was first seen blazing up the skies in 1938. This American airplane was designed as an all-metal fighter. The Warhawk P 40 was mostly used during the World War II where it served the Allied powers. It ranks at number three as one of the top most produced American fighters. The term “Warhawk” was the name adopted for all P-40s used in the USAC and this eventually become the official name of all P-40s in the United States. Although the Warhawk P 40 is considered mediocre when it comes to high altitude performance, this was still used as a ground attack airplane because unlike other air fighters, this offered the benefit of low-cost production.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
