Boeing's Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle - Model Aircraft
The X-45 aircraft was produced by Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and developed by Boeings Phantom Works. It is a part of DARPAs J-UCAS project. The X-45A was the first prototype that was represented on the requirements set in 1999. The Air Force wanted an aircraft which has a bigger payload, range and has special tactics. The X-45B model was the result. It was originally planned to be available for the United States Air Force in 2006 to 2007. But before the first X-45B was completed, it was replaced by the X-45C model. X45B was turned into a base for the X-45C model version and its systems and center body were used. The United States Air Force decided not to pursue the X-45 project in March 2, 2006. But Boeing submitted a proposal to the United States Navy for a new version of the X-45.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
