Created by Ryan Aeronautical for the United States Navy during World War II, the FR-1 Fireball was the first aircraft created with jet propulsion feature. This single-seat monoplane was equipped with a bubble canopy that offered its pilot excellent visibility. With four Browning machine guns and four five-inch rockets, this aircraft was a simple yet powerful flying machine that took to the air on June 1944. The aircraft retired from US Navy service on August 1947.
