Mastercraft Collection: F-4U-5NL Night Corsair..
Wingspan: 12.6 inches

The F4U Vought Corsair was reputed as one of the most famous fighter aircrafts built during the Second World War. It featured gull-wing design that allowed the propeller to rotate without even hitting the ground. It was used in Korea as a night fighter and a carrier-based fighter. Equipped with technologically advanced features, it was able to survive in an era where fighters driven with propellers were usually replaced by jets. Owned by the Collings Foundation, the F4U Corsairs had been restored by American Aero Services in Florida’s New Smyrna Beach. It became fully restored in 2003 and is currently used for airshows.
