Mastercraft Collection: A-10 Warthog "Flying Tigers"..
Wingspan: 12 inches
Length: 11 inches
The A-10 Warthog is an exceptionally tough and reliable ground attack aircraft manufactured by Fairchild Republic. Also known as the Thunderbolt, this twin-engine jet aircraft was primarily used by the United States Air Force. Relatively slower than the other models, the Warthog is only able to fly at a maximum speed of 439 mph. Many US Air Force pilots who were used to faster jet aircraft hesitated in their transition to using this rather sluggish aircraft. Despite of what it lacked in speed, the A-10 aircraft proved to be a reliable war plane during Operation Desert Storm and more so in the succeeding conflicts like Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya Wars.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
