Bearing the same red dots as the Mitsubishi Zero, the MK Spitfire aircraft could indeed be mistaken as the infamous Axis aircraft. The glaring difference between the two is that unlike the Zero, MK Spitfire was proudly British made and a powerful Allied aircraft. Utilized by the British Royal Air Force, the plane was a brainchild of the Supermarine Aviation Works. The most manufactured British aircraft during WWII, the effective single-seat fighter aircraft even served long after the Great War and remained on the front lines up to the early 50's. Designed with a powerful Merlin engine, the interceptor plane has the capability to climb at a very high rate to reach or avoid enemy bombers. Quite popular, the Spitfire aircraft made a number of notable appearances in the media, proudly symbolizing the power of the British resistance.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
