In the early 1990’s, the Strike Fighter Squadron 27 or the United States Navy Royal Maces transitioned to use the very capable aircraft: the F18 Super Hornet. The F18-E fighter aircraft is the single-seater variant of the model, and was capable of flying at a maximum speed of 1,190 miles per hour. This multirole aircraft is armed with a wide variety ammunitions like small guns, bombs and missiles. F 18 E Super Hornet saw its action in Iraq in Operation Southern Watch.
