Mastercraft Collection: B-25B MITCHELL..
Wingspan: 12.5 inches

Of all the B-25 Mitchell variants, the B-25B model made the series legendary. The North American B-25 Mitchell twin-engine medium bomber rose to fame after the 16 B-25B units were used as bombers by Lieutenant Colonel Jimmy Doolittle in the famous Tokyo Raid (also known as Doolittle Raid), which happened in April 18, 1942. The Mitchell B-25B was also the most-produced version of the B-25, with 120 units built. Some of these units were the ones used in the Doolittle Raid, while 23 of them were supplied to the Royal Air Force but renamed as Mitchell Mk I. The Tokyo or Doolittle Raid had greatly uplifted American spirits. DonŐt put this mission and the aircraft that made it successful into oblivion.
