Mastercraft Collection: F-16 Arctic Flanker..
Wingspan: 8 inches
Length: 12 inches
The F-16 Arctic Flanker was first seen on US soil in the Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. It was part of the Common Configuration Implementation Program (CCIP), where Eielson swapped seven F-16 jet fighters with the Kunsan Air Base in Korea. The objective of the CCIP is to increase mission capability and combat readiness by utilizing new air frames and avionics. The arctic aircraft features an aggressor paint scheme, featuring a combination of black, white, and gray. Another color scheme, featuring a combination of dark and light blue and gray, is available; aircraft with this color scheme are referred to as Blue Flankers. The purpose of the new paint scheme is to help differentiate between friendly aircraft and enemy aircraft during exercises such as RED FLAG-Alaska.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
