Mastercraft Collection: de Havilland DH 103 Hornet..
Wingspan: 12 inches
Length: 10 inches
The DH.103 Hornet was designed as a high speed, long range fighter aircraft by the de Havilland Aircraft Company of Hatfield that was based in Hertfordshire, UK. In January 1943, a mock-up had been prepared which was followed by a major design and development work. Eventually, the prototype RR915 had its first flight on July 28, 1944. Though the initial production was credited to Hatfield, it was later on moved to Chester as other types had demanded to be under Hatfield’s production as well such as the Comet and Dove airliner.
