Mastercraft Collection: P-47 Thunderbolt "Rabbit"..
Wingspan: 12 inches
Length: 10.8 inches
As expected of a fighter aircraft, the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was armed to the teeth. But what makes it different is the fact that it was the largest, heaviest, and priciest fighter aircraft ever built. By the time it was launched as a fighter-bomber during the World War II, this Thunderbolt aircraft proved to be highly capable at ground attack in European and Pacific Theaters. It was also successful in its short-to-medium range escort fighter missions as well as in high-altitude air-to-air combats. No wonder, it was among the main fighters of the USAAF during throughout the war. The Republic P-47 also saw service in some Allied air forces like France, Russia, and Britain.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
