Back in 1941, the Mosquito went into production and became one of the world’s fastest bomber aircraft. From being an unarmed fast bomber, no sooner did the Mosquito aircraft adapted to many other roles during air war. The de Havilland Mosquito was most well-known as a strategic night-time fighter in the United Kingdom. Despite being constructed mostly from wood, this “Wooden Wonder”, also known as “Mossie” to its crews, was one of the most robust aircrafts of World War II. As a result of its flexibility and adaptability, the Mosquito aircraft served as a transport of the British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC).
