Mastercraft Collection: ME-109g Messerschmitt Luftwaffe VII / JG52..
Wingspan: 12 inches
Length: 11 inches
The ME-109 Messerschmitt was dubbed as the first of the few true modern fighters of this generation. Its features include a fuselage made out of an all-metal monocoque, a closed canopy, a retractable landing gear, and it also got its power through a liquid-cooled, inverted-V12 aero engine. The ME-109 was first used during the Spanish Civil War and was still in operational during jet age at the end of World War II. At that time, it was essential to the Luftwaffe fighter force. The Messerschmitt BF was originally built to be an interceptor. However, later models were developed to serve as bomber escorts, fighter-bombers, day-night aircraft, all-weather fighter, ground-attack aircraft, and to aid in reconnaissance missions.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
