The Sabrejet F-86 aircraft was single-seat, jet-powered jet fighter aircraft designed and manufactured by the North American Aviation post World War II. The F-86 had swept wings and an assortment of ammunition. The F-86 aircraft was conceived to be a fighter-interceptor and fighter-bomber for the Korean War. The Russians at that time had the similarly winged MiG-15, and the Sabrejet can match it in terms of speed during a dogfight. During the Korean War, the F-86 aircraft was flown by pilots with experience flying during World War II and thus contributed its success. Additionally, F-86 were also utilized during the Cold War.
