The Devastator TBD was a classic, pre-World War II torpedo bomber aircraft designed and manufactured in 1930Ős by the Douglas Aircraft Company. The Douglas Devastator was an all-metal single-seater airplane, powered by a 900hp radial engine and was used by the United States Navy for a short stint of years. The Douglas Devastator was manned by 3-crew team and was capable of flying at a maximum speed of 206mph. The Devastator TBD carried an assortment of guns and bombs which was used during World War II, notably used for dropping torpedoes. The Douglas Devastator were also used as training aircraft during the pre-war and even post-war.
