The T-28 Trojan was a trainer aircraft designed and manufactured by North American Aviation. Soldiers of the United States Air Force trained with the T-28 aircraft. After its initial success as trainer aircraft, it was then used by the Navy and Marine Corps as well. During the Vietnam War, the T-28 airplane was also utilized successfully as a Counter-insurgency airplane (COIN). The T-28 Trojan is manned by a team of 2 crews and is powered by a Cyclone radial engine. It can fly to a maximum speed of 343 miles per hour and armed with an assortment of machine gun pods, bombs and cannons.
