Mastercraft Collection: B-36 Peacemaker......
Wingspan: 12 in inches
Length: 8.4 inches
Exclusively operated by the United States Air Force, the B-36 Peacemaker built by Convair (Consolidated Vultee), was a piston-engine powered aircraft. The B-36 is also the largest mass-produced aircraft with piston engines between the years 1949-1959. The B-36 Bomber Peacemaker holds the largest wingspan of any combat fighter plane in history, even larger to many commercial planes today. Many of the commercial jet-powered airplanes today resemble its wings. As a strategic bomber, the B-36 was equipped with four bomb bays and the only plane that can carry a gravity bomb, which can produce the kind of damage similar to that of an earthquake, hence, its name.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
