Mastercraft Collection: B-24 Liberator..
Wingspan: 12 in inches
Length: 7.4 inches
Designed by the Consolidated Aircraft Company, the B-24 Liberator airplane served the United States Army Air Corps during the 1930Ős. Designed to replace the equally impressive Flying Fortress, it was actually named Ňthe LiberatorÓ by the British as the B-24 proved to be one of the Allied forces mightiest weapons. ItŐs a massive aircraft powered by four large propellers on both wings and modified to include an improved autopilot. Seems simple enough but with added armaments such as 12.7mm heavy machine guns on the nose turret, and with improved bombsight system, it has become a highly efficient warplane. One of the most effective bomber aircraft, the B-24 actually even holds the record as the most produced heavy bomber in aviation history. Its impressive image commanded fear and might during the World War II.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
